SOON: SOUTH ASIAN EVOCATION AND BECOMINGS

A group exhibition curated by SouthAsia.Art and  exhibited at Chinatown Soup, located at 16 Orchard st., New York. The show will be open to the public for the night of October 27th, 2017. The night will consider themes of South Asian futurity - where we come from, where we are currently located and, most importantly, the directions we are considering for our various future(s). 

CENTRUM EMERGING ARTIST RESIDENCY

Centrum’s Emerging Artist Residency is an initiative to support artists at the beginning of their careers. Centrum provides housing and studio space within the beautiful seaside Fort Worden State Park as well as a stipend. The artists reside at Centrum from Oct. 2-31, 2017 while creating new work or refining existing work. Stay tuned at centrum.org for an open studios announcement.

Art in Odd Places aims to stretch the boundaries of communication in the public realm by presenting artworks in all disciplines outside the confines of traditional public space regulations. AiOP reminds us that public spaces function as the epicenter for diverse social interactions and the unfettered exchange of ideas.

BRICWORKSPACE RESIDENCY

The BRICworkspace residency program provides emerging and mid-career artists the resources and support to make a significant commitment to their practice, as well as critical feedback, and exposure of their work. The residency for Brooklyn-affiliated visual artists, offers studio space at BRIC House as well as two nearby satellite spaces in the diverse cultural hub of Downtown Brooklyn.
